ANASU Armenia, Manizales and Santa Marta bags behind three tasting cups and a blank notebook

Build a Colombian Coffee Tasting Flight at Home with ANASU

For a simple Colombian coffee tasting flight, choose three bags, brew them with the same method and compare small servings in matching cups. Start with ANASU Armenia Medium Roast, ANASU Santa Marta Mountain Medium Roast and ANASU Manizales Medium Dark Roast: two medium-roast choices followed by a medium-dark option.

This is a suggested order of three individually sold products, not a prepacked sampler or a special-price bundle. You can choose just two bags if that better suits your household. The purpose is to find the coffee you want to drink again, with enough structure to remember why you liked it.

Why choose these three?

  • Armenia: a medium-roast starting point with a description emphasizing balance.
  • Santa Marta Mountain: another medium-roast choice, useful when you want to compare two offerings with the same roast label.
  • Manizales: the medium-dark selection, whose listing mentions a chocolate note.

You are comparing three finished coffees, not isolating a single farm or roasting variable. For shopping, that is enough: your aim is to learn which product works best in your normal drink. If your household prefers darker roasts, substitute the options in our Tolima versus Huila guide.

Set up a small, repeatable session

Use matching cups, a scale, water, a clean brewer and a notebook. Choose a brewing method that suits the available grind. The National Coffee Association’s drip-coffee guide explains that method if it is the one you normally use. Follow your equipment’s capacity and operating instructions.

Keep the coffee dose and water amount consistent. As a small filter-brew starting example, 12.5 grams of coffee with 200 grams of water is a 1:16 ratio. Brew that amount only if it suits your equipment; otherwise use a supported batch size and pour small tasting servings from it. Some water stays in the grounds, so the finished yield will be lower than the water added.

Use our coffee-to-water ratio chart to scale the recipe. Start each brew under the same conditions and compare the coffees at similar, comfortable drinking temperatures. This is a practical home comparison, not a claim of a professionally scored cupping.

Write notes you can use for your next order

Coffee What stood out? Would I reorder?
Armenia Aroma, taste, finish Yes / maybe / no
Santa Marta Aroma, taste, finish Yes / maybe / no
Manizales Aroma, taste, finish Yes / maybe / no

Use your own words. You do not need to discover a particular fruit or a chocolate note just because it appears in a description. Note which sample you prefer black, then compare it with your usual amount of milk or sweetener if that is how you normally drink coffee.

With two people, write your choices separately before discussing them. You may find a shared favorite, or discover that two different bags are a better household order than trying to agree on one. There is no need to turn that preference into a universal quality ranking.

Turn the flight into an everyday routine

Repeat the favorite with a full normal serving on another day. Store the remaining coffee in suitable airtight containers and open new bags around the amount you can use. The 0.55 lb bag-yield guide helps you plan using your actual dose.

Build your own selection from ANASU Armenia Medium Roast, ANASU Santa Marta Mountain Medium Roast and ANASU Manizales Medium Dark Roast, or shop ANASU Colombian ground coffee for alternatives. Review the regular product prices and current shipping policy before checkout.
